Superintendent Adkins announces that Brook Moore is the new principal for South Floyd Elementary as of January 2019!

Adkins comments, “We’re excited to have Brook move into this role. She has been part of the administration there for the last few years and knows the students, the school and the community and they know her. Brook makes an impression on people. She’s very passionate and dedicated to doing the best job possible for students.”
Brook has been an educator for over fourteen years. She began her career teaching elementary students at John M Stumbo Elementary. She’s been part of the administration at John M Stumbo Elementary and then South Floyd Elementary for the last few years. Serving as a school council member, sponsoring the Honors club and coaching volleyball and basketball are just a few of the additional roles Brook has had.
Moore comments, “I’m happy to say that I’ve never looked at my career in education as a job. It’s always been terrific to get to go to school to help and teach students. My attitude is that on the very best days, you get to see that you are helping change lives and the future. On the not so great days, you just have to try harder because kids need us.”
Adkins concludes, “There’s many reasons why Brook will be a great principal, but the heart she has for children stands out as the most important. Brook is a great example of how building relationships with kids first is a top priority. She loves the kids and I’m pretty sure they now it.”Brook is married to Robert and they live at Minnie with their daughters Aubree and KayCee.
